The intended audience of this seminar is for all the pharmacists needing to maintain their licensing accreditation.

 

The Objectives of this seminar are:

 

1/         Discuss the bio-psycho-social model of schizophrenia.

2/         Review the causality and symptoms of schizophrenia.

3/         Discuss/review the current anti-psychotic medications, and the side effect profiles of medications used in the treatment of schizophrenia.

4/         Review, how, with the proper medications, schizophrenic patients can function well in their environment.

5/         Discuss the pharmacist’s role, as part of the healthcare team in the             treatment of schizophrenia.
