After attending this seminar, participants will be able to:

1., Understand the aetiology and pathophysiology of patients with Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes, 2, Discuss the current concepts in the pharmacologic treatment of Diabetes  Management, 3, Discuss how to maintain and control the blood sugar levels via medications used in patients with diabetes, 4, Discuss the various current pharmacologic therapies available for the treatment of diabetes management, 5,  Discuss the side effect profiles of current medications used in the treatment of diabetes management, and 6, discuss the pharmacists’ role, as part of the healthcare team in the treatment of diabetes management.

The Alpha  Zeta Omega National Pharmaceutical Fraternity (New York Alumni Chapter) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of Continuing Pharmacy Education.  This program will be accredited for 2 contact hours.  ACPE # 471-999-08-004-L01-P.  Attendees will receive their Statement of Credit (C.E. Certificate) in 4-6 weeks.  You must properly fill out the sign-in-sheet at the beginning of the program and turn in a completed evaluation form at the end of the program.
